The Big Move

Well, last night Greg and I hung some shelves and pictures in Elisa's room. (It's going to look so good when it's done in there!) She's still sleeping in her crib in our room, but we are planning on moving her any day now. We are definitely ready to have our bedroom back. Even Elisa's excited about her new room!

A visit from Jenn

We had another visitor last week. My friend Jenn was here for a few days. We had great weather for her - sunny and 70s. One day we took a walk through the park here... it's so nice to have sun in April!

Jenn and Elisa got to hang out together a couple of times while Greg and I worked. Elisa liked spending time with her Aunt Jenn.

According to Jenn (who is a CPA), "Every girl needs a piggy bank!" So she brought Elisa this great piggy bank that she found in the airport on the way here.

Jenn, it was sure fun to have you here! Come back again anytime!

Spring in Arkansas

I feel like I missed spring last year... I was so sick that spring just came and went while I lay on the couch.

This year I hope to enjoy spring a little more. Today we ventured outside for a while in the sunny (but slightly cool) weather. Most of the time when we go outside with Elisa she is completely bundled up and in her stroller. But today she felt the sun and the wind on her face. It was fun!

Polish pottery

This is our Polish pottery. When we went to Europe a few years ago we bought some mugs. Since then we've added several more to our collection. Becca offered to bring us some more mugs when she came this time, and as an added surprise she brought us some beautiful new plates to add to our collection. Aren't they great? Thanks Becca!

A visit from Becca

So my good friend, Becca, came to visit us this past week. We had such a great time with her! We snuggled with Leesi, shopped, ate ice cream, drank coffee, picnicked, and talked a ton! It was so good to be with Becca. She's "our people" ;-) It's so meaningful to have friends from my "old life" come and see my "new life." Now Becca has met Elisa, seen my house, and where I work. And that just means a lot to me.

My friends Jenn and Anna are also planning to come visit - Jenn in April and Anna in May. I'm so excited!

Becca is currently doing missionary care for third-culture-kids in Eastern Europe. Click here to see her amazing blog.

A note from Elisa

Yesterday I rolled over for the first time!

I was laying on my stomach, propping myself up on my elbows to look up at mom. Then, I kicked my legs, pushed with my arm and all of a sudden I was looking up at the ceiling. Mom clapped and cheered and made a big deal about it. I just stared up at her with wide eyes. I think we were both surprised by what happened.

I haven't been able to do it again yet. But, now I know that I can. And it's just a matter of time before I learn to do all sorts of great things!
